# 8月21日 夢を見るもの

午前2時頃、最後の幼虫が脱皮を開始しました。しかし、朝になっても一向に脱皮が終わる気配はなくサナギになることはできませんでした。

14時前、ほかのサナギに影響しないように、残された葉を掃除を行う際に触れて確認したところ、幼虫の皮が脱ぎきれず力尽きていました。通常サナギは触れると体をくねらすような反応を示しますがこれもありませんでした。改めて昆虫という生き物の厳しさを目の当たりにしました。
